A few things you might be wondering.

Have another question? Feel free to reach out; I’m happy to talk about whether the studio might be a good fit.

What ages and levels do you teach?+

I teach a range of ages and levels. Adult students are very welcome! Lessons are adapted to the student’s experience, goals, and interests.

What instruments do you teach?+

I teach oboe and piano from beginners to advanced. I also teach beginner to intermediate guitar, trumpet, clarinet, flute, saxophone, and digital music.

What if my child doesn’t know what instrument they want to learn?+

That’s okay! Lessons can include musical exploration, trying different sounds and styles, learning basic musicianship, and discovering what feels exciting to the student.

Do lessons have to focus on one instrument?+

Not necessarily. Some students may focus on one instrument, while others may combine instrument study with theory, songwriting, digital music, school band support, or creative projects.

Do you offer digital music lessons?+

Yes. Digital music lessons can include basic music production, composition, arranging, creative projects, and exploring how technology can be used to make music.

Do you offer trial lessons?+

Yes. Free 30-minute trial lessons are available for students who would like to see if the studio is a good fit before committing to regular lessons. A trial lesson is a chance to meet, talk about the student’s interests, experience my teaching style, and ask questions.

Do students need their own instrument?+

Yes. Students need regular access to their instrument so they can practice consistently between lessons. If a student is still exploring, I’m happy to discuss options for getting started.

Can I book a single lesson?+

Yes. Single lessons may be available for students looking for short-term support, audition preparation, school band help, creative project support, or feedback on specific repertoire. Single lessons are $115 for a 60-minute lesson and are offered based on availability.

What happens if I need to miss a lesson?+

Lessons may be rescheduled when at least 24 hours’ notice is provided. Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice may not be eligible for rescheduling or reimbursement.

If I need to reschedule due to illness, travel, or an emergency, I will arrange a make-up lesson with the student.

Still wondering?
