Lessons & Services

Individualized learning, week by week.

Students receive 4 hours of one-on-one instruction per month, through one 60-minute lesson each week. Lessons are tailored to each student’s age, experience level, goals, and learning style.

Lessons can move in different directions depending on the student. We might learn a new instrument, work on school band music, explore songwriting or digital music, develop theory and ear training, prepare solo repertoire, or build confidence and healthier practice skills.

What’s included

More than the hour we spend together.

Each lesson is designed to give students a clear sense of what to work on next while building long-term skills as thoughtful, independent musicians.

01

Private One-on-One Instruction

Focused, individualized support based on the student’s goals and interests. Lessons may include instrument technique, note reading, rhythm, theory, creativity, expression, songwriting, digital music, or school band support.

02

Practice Support

Guidance for learning between lessons, such as practice strategies, recordings, exercises, repertoire ideas, creative prompts, or resources tailored to the student’s instrument and goals.

03

Goal Setting & Progress Tracking

Regular goal setting to track growth over time. Together, we work on healthy practice habits, celebrate progress, and set achievable next steps.

04

Community Opportunities

As the studio grows, students will have opportunities to connect with other musicians through studio classes, performances, recitals, and concert outings.

Why goal setting?

Know what you’re working toward.

Read the research

Goal setting is an important part of progress in music lessons. Research has shown that setting specific and challenging goals consistently leads to higher performance than vague goals, easy goals, or no goals at all. Goal setting improves performance by:

  1. 1Directing and prioritizing attention
  2. 2Increasing effort and motivation
  3. 3Increasing persistence
  4. 4Encouraging strategy development

This means students leave each lesson with a clear, achievable next step.
